“This project consists of roadway intersection improvements and site grading/storm drainage improvements…erosion & sedimentation control, traffic control, utility relocations, clearing & grubbing, demolition work, temporary access/routing drives, new storm drainage system, grading…of road shoulders and adjacent slopes to accommodate the proposed roundabout, grassing/seeding of slopes, concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalks, asphalt pavement, leveling courses, roadway striping & markings, roundabout island construction, temporary traffic signal, traffic signage, and landscaping improvements,” according to a legal document announcing the bid process.

Plans for the roundabout have been in the works for some time and as late as last June the Flowery Branch City Council was in the process of buying land for the project.
