Oakwood Police says one of the fugitives on this week’s Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Wanted Wednesday poster is wanted for the sexual assault of a young girl over a three-month period earlier this year.
Detective Sgt. Stewart Webb said Wednesday that he learned of the incidents last month when uniformed officers went to Audubon Crest Apartments following a “belated molestation/rape” case.
“The (13-year-old) juvenile reported that she had been molested and raped by Shevaughn Davis over a three-month period,” Sgt. Webb added. The responding officer’s report says the incidents occurred between May 1 and July 31.
After attending a forensic interview with the child, Webb says he “did find probable cause to obtain the listed arrest warrants for Shevaughn Davis,” charging him with rape, child molestation, sexual battery, and cruelty to children.
