There were no serious injuries but a busy South Hall road was closed for more than an hour because of a traffic accident Thursday night. Two people were injured in the three-vehicle wreck which happened about 6:15 on Spout Springs Road near Litany Court.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“According to the initial investigation, an SUV driven by Brian Murphy, 52, of Flowery Branch, was northbound on Spout Springs Road. He was stopped, waiting to turn left on Litany Court. A northbound pickup truck, driven by Henry McElveen, 52, of Flowery Branch, rear-ended Murphy’s SUV, pushing it into the southbound lane where it was hit by a minivan.
Murphy and the van driver, Sarah Harvey, 35, of Flowery Branch, were both transported by Hall County Fire Rescue to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Murphy suffered visible but non-life-threatening injuries, while Harvey’s condition was described as a complaint of injury. McElveen was not injured.
The collision blocked Spout Springs rough for approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes.”
