Lumpkin County deputies traveled to a home in the 2100 block of Emory Stephens Road in Lumpkin County, where they were told that Self would be located.

When (LCSO) deputies arrived, they found Self in a SUV outside the home. Self refused to obey verbal commands given by the deputies to get out of the SUV One deputy shot at and hit the SUV while Self was trying to leave the location. Self was arrested in White County, Georgia later that day.

Self was taken to the Lumpkin County Detention Center.

In addition to the outstanding warrant for a probation violation, Self was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer.”
