Plans for a mixed-use development on Jesse Jewell Parkway and a McEver Road residential development will apparently be delayed again next week by the Gainesville Planning & Appeals Board (GPAB). That is if the board approves recommendations from the planning staff and one of the developers.
“There is no Staff Recommendation report attached (to the Jewell Parkway application) since the planning staff will be recommending the item be tabled to the January 9, 2024, Planning and Appeals Board meeting,” reads a notation on the agenda for next week’s week, scheduled for Tuesday.
The item in question is a request from Simpatico Communities to rezone a 3.17± acres tract at the intersection of Jesse Jewell and Scotland Avenue, where the L&K Cafeteria and a car care shop were once located. Planning & Appeals Board Meeting • AGENDAS & MINUTES • CivicClerk
The applicant for the McEver Road item on the agenda has requested that action on it be delayed until the Jan. 9 meeting, as well. Weekley Homes, LLC wants to amend an existing Planned Unit Development (P-U-D) zoning on121 acres at McEver Road and Gould Drive.
“This request was previously tabled at the November 14th Planning and Appeals Board meeting. The applicant is asking you to table their request again at the January 9th Planning and Appeals Board Meeting to provide time to revise their proposal,” the agenda reads.
