The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is inviting public comment on projects selected by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for funding through the current Recreational Trails Program (RTP).
Included is Lumpkin County’s Rock House Road Park to Lake Zwerner Reservoir Trail project. Grant amounts for it are $78,600 in federal money and $52,400, state.
The awarded projects will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). Comments received during the public review period will be shared with the respective project sponsors.
The public comment period will close November 10.
