Candlelight vigil planned in memory of 2-year-old

Big Peach Running Company plans to hold a candlelight vigil Sunday as “an evening of remembrance and prayer” in honor of the two-year-old Gainesville boy who was killed in front of the store this week.

“In the face of unimaginable loss, words often fall short,” a company’s Facebook posting says. “But we hope that by coming together, we can surround the Skelton family and all those affected by this tragedy with love, compassion, and support.”

Knox Shelton was fatally injured Wednesday at the Limestone Parkway store when a car jumped the curb in front of it and hit him and his father. Injured child dies

The candlelight vigil is scheduled to begin at 6:30.
