Gainesville recorded an unemployment rate of 2.7 percent in June, unchanged from a revised 2.7 percent in May. A year ago, the rate was 2.7 percent.
The labor force decreased in Gainesville by 103 and ended the month with 108,947. That number went up by 1,255 when compared to June of 2022.
In the 13-county Georgia Mountains Region, which includes Hall County and most of northeast Georgia, the jobless rate was up one-tenth to 3.0 percent over-the-month; the rate was 2.9 percent one year ago.
