*Georgia women are now traveling to North Carolina for abortions at more than 50 times the rate seen before Roe v. Wade was overturned. A recent study published by the Journal of the American Medical Association found that Georgia residents made up 37 percent of all out-of-state patients in North Carolina clinics.
*A teen is accused of stabbing a classmate at a LaGrange middle school. It was shortly before school ended Monday when the 13-year-old allegedly used scissors to attack another 13-year-old at Gardner Newman Middle School. The victim was treated for several injuries, but their condition is unknown. Police charged the teen suspect with aggravated assault, battery and disrupting a public school.
*A triathlon coach is recovering from an injury after a brush with an alligator on the Savannah River. Jonathan Bruney says he was leading an IRONMAN practice swim in Augusta on Sunday when he encountered the alligator, which clamped onto his arm. The arm was saved and but the wounds required several stitches to close.
