FBPD: Traffic stop yields drugs, guns, gloves, a mask & a fugitive

FLOWERY BRANCH POLCE DEPARTMENT (FBPD) NEWS RELEASE:

“((Sunday night) officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department conducted a
traffic stop on a vehicle within the Sterling on the Lake subdivision.

The vehicle was driven by 21-year-old Isaiah Johnathan Lusk of Stone Mountain, GA. A
passenger, identified as 28-year-old Kristopher Adam Smith of Lithonia, GA, was also in the
vehicle.

During the course of the investigation, officers discovered the occupants were in possession of
numerous individually packaged quantities of marijuana, two firearms, gloves, and a mask. One
of the firearms was confirmed to have been reported stolen from another jurisdiction.

Both individuals were taken into custody without incident and charged (as follows):

Isaiah Johnathan Lusk
 Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign
 Possession of Marijuana
 Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
 Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes
 Theft by Receiving Stolen Property

Kristopher Adam Smith
 Possession of Marijuana
 Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
 Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes

Additionally, officers discovered that Smith (was wanted in) DeKalb County.”
