HCC: A new ‘old’ fire station, appointments, $2.3M for jail medical services

The Hall County Commission (HCC) meets Thursday and the agenda is a long one – 43 and possibly 44 items based on the agenda for today’s (Monday’s) work session.

Included: plans to construct a new McEver Road fire station, 18 appointments to various boards, organizations, etc., and a public hearing on an amendment to the county’s comprehensive plan.

Also on the agenda: authorization for an agreement with the Georgia Ports Authority for “law enforcement and security services” at the new inland port and a $432,000 change order for the construction of the realignment of White Sulphur Road.

Also approval of the annual renewal contract for jail medical services to Dr. Linwood Zoller at an estimated annual cost of $172,000, and the same for nursing and mental health services for the jail to Correctional Nursing Services, LLC, of Oakwood at an estimated cost of $2.27 million.
