What’s next now that the stormy weather has moved on?

Hall County and the rest of Georgia were spared significant damage from the stormy weather which moved through the state overnight. Not so, though, for some people in Mississippi. Nearly 500 homes damaged in Mississippi storms as multiple tornadoes reported – SRN News

Back in Gainesville, where lots of rain fell, Zach Brackett, Hall County Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security Director, said Thursday morning other than the rain the county escaped with only a few downed trees. By noon Thursday, rainfall at the Gainesville airport since the storm moved in totaled 2.45 inches.

So, what now?

“Temperatures will remain around normal through the weekend and into early next week,” the National Weather Service says. “Generally dry conditions through Friday following Thursday morning showers and storms. Rain and thunderstorm (non-severe) chances return over the weekend.”
