Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators have charged an Atlanta man with arson following a fire last Thursday night at a house in the 5600 block of Grand Reunion Drive in South Hall. And that’s just the “tip of the iceberg” when it comes to the charges he’s facing.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“At approximately 7:30…a neighbor reported the fire on the porch and attempted to contain it with a fire
extinguisher as deputies and Hall County Fire Rescue responded. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and
determined no one was home.
According to the preliminary investigation, the fire was intentionally set using an accelerant, possibly
gasoline. Investigators with the sheriff’s office and Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the house.
Following interviews and a review of evidence, investigators identified the suspect as Parsa Robert Bojnordi, 19, of Atlanta. At approximately 10:50 p.m., patrol deputies spotted Bojnordi’s car on Friendship Road approaching Deaton Creek Parkway. They activated their blue lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop, but Bojnordi accelerated instead of stopping.
Deputies followed him to the 5700 block of Chateau Glen Drive, where he stopped. Deputies arrested him without incident on a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude. Investigators charged Bojnordi with first-degree arson and second-degree criminal damage to property, both felonies, in connection with the fire.
Bojnordi also had outstanding warrants for criminal trespass and theft by taking, both misdemeanors,
related to incidents (last Tuesday) involving one of the residents of the Grand Reunion Drive
home. In the theft case, Bojnordi took a box containing cosmetics from the victim’s home. The same afternoon he damaged the victim’s SUV by pouring flour, tuna fish and other cut-up pieces of fish inside it in the 6000 block of Maple Park Lane.
Bojnordi was booked into the Hall County Jail following his arrest. He posted $11,900 bond and was released Saturday afternoon…
The incidents remain under investigation.”
