Cumming Police say they tracked a theft from a Cumming storage facility to Columbus, Georgia, and were able to connect with local law enforcement there to arrest suspects and recover the stolen property.
“Thanks to the technology in the Real Time Crime Center at CPD (Cumming Police Department) our officers were able to utilize our technology to track targeted vehicle traffic to find the stolen trailer and identify the suspect vehicle towing it,” a police department Facebook post says. “From this information, CPD tracked the suspect to an address in Columbus, Georgia.”
In addition to finding the missing property, officers were able to execute a search warrant for the house and found additional stolen items at the home there.
