If you are one of those who craves a little snow along with your winter and you still want to stay in Georgia to see it, your best bet is still south of us, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
“Not much change in the forecast this morning regarding the winter weather potential overnight into tomorrow (Sunday),” says the latest NWS advisory which was issued early Saturday. “A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 AM to 12 PM Sunday across parts of central (and south) Georgia, as snow accumulations between 0.25 inch and 0.5 inch are expected. Up to 1 inch of snow in localized areas is possible…”
The snow is expected to be confined to an area along and south of a line from roughly Columbus to Macon to near Augusta.
For our area, some rain this weekend with a slight chance of a flurry or two, a little rain, and cold.
