With the whereabouts of Gainesville native Charles Hosch, who is a Texas lawyer and SMU law professor still a mystery, a prayer vigil for Hosch was held at the SMU Dedman School of Law Friday night, sponsored by the university’s Christian Legal Society.
“And truly, we were coming here to pray that our professor, who has given us an intellectual and emotional refuge, will find a physical refuge,” Ethan Sullivan said.
Sullivan, cbsnews.com/texas reported, is the president of the Christian Legal Society. He has also taken classes under Hosch.
“Moments like this bring the reality to bear on how fleeting life can be, how impermanent it is,” he told the TV station. ” I think it’s just a realism that life is a gift. It’s a precious gift, and it can be taken at any moment.”
The 67-year-old Hosch has been missing since Tuesday when he left Gainesville, where he had been visiting friends and relatives, to hike, alone, some of the mountain trails in Union County.
Meanwhile, Hosch’s law partner, Kate Morris is posting updates on the status of the search on their firm’s opening page.
