WHITE CO. FIRE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE:
“(11/10) 6:45 p.m. — Residential Fire, Hamilton Drive
On Monday evening around 6:45 p.m., White County 911 Communications dispatched White County Fire Services, Cleveland Fire Department, White County EMS, and the White County Sheriff’s Office to a reported residential structure fire along Hamilton Drive in Cleveland. The caller reported that the fire had originated in a bathroom.
First-arriving units quickly located and safely removed an immobile occupant from the residence before initiating an aggressive interior attack on the fire, which had extended into the attic. Fire personnel successfully contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading further throughout the home.
Crews cleared the scene shortly after 8:00 p.m. No injuries have been reported at this time.
White County extends its appreciation to all responding personnel for their swift and coordinated efforts, and to the volunteer firefighters who provided additional support at the scene. Their quick action prevented this incident from becoming far more severe.
(11/11) 8:00 a.m. — Residential Fire, Fieldstone Road
Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, White County 911 Communications dispatched White County Fire Services, Cleveland Fire Department, and White County EMS to a reported residential structure fire on Fieldstone Road in Cleveland. The caller reported smoke and a possible fire in the wall of a two-story residence.
First-arriving firefighters observed smoke coming from the backside of the home and confirmed fire extension within the wall. Crews quickly conducted an interior attack, successfully containing and extinguishing the fire.
No injuries were reported. Fire operations transitioned to ensuring the fire was fully extinguished and that there were no further extensions before concluding around 9:15 a.m.
(11/11) 9:25 a.m. — Commercial Fire, Brooks Street
At approximately 9:25 a.m., White County 911 Communications dispatched Cleveland Fire Department, White County EMS, and White County Fire (supporting in Automatic Aid) to a reported commercial fire on Brooks Street in Cleveland. Upon arrival, crews located a detached HVAC unit on fire adjacent to the building.
Firefighters acted quickly to contain and extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from extending to the structure. No injuries were reported, and units cleared the scene shortly after.

In each case, quick action and coordinated response prevented what could have been far more serious outcomes. As we move into the colder months, residents are encouraged to remain mindful of fire hazards in and around the home. Heating equipment, fireplaces, and space heaters should be inspected and used safely, and working smoke alarms should be tested regularly. Taking simple precautions now can help prevent fires and save lives during the winter season.”
