*Hartsfield-Jackson International has unveiled its new facial recognition security checkpoint. Members of Clear Plus can now scan their boarding pass and use their face as verification before being moved to bag screening. Atlanta is the first airport in the country to use the new process. A Clear Plus membership will cost travelers $209 a year.
*With President Trump vowing to end mail-in voting and use of voting machines nationwide, Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger claims Georgia’s elections are the most secure in the nation. Meanwhile, the chair of the state’s Democratic Party agrees with those who say that a president cannot issue an executive order over voting.
*After today, nearly half-a-million registered Georgia voters could find their names purged from the state’s voter registration lists. This is the deadline for those who have been targeted to correct things if they, in fact, are on the list by mistake. The Georgia Secretary of State’s office is conducting a routine post-election year audit, which occurs every two years in odd-numbered years, to update the state’s voter registration lists.
