The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has approved the “location and design” for the replacement of a culvert with a bridge on on Mt. Vernon Road over Flat Creek. The location is 1.5 miles east of Clermont.
The bridge will be built in the “existing location” of the culvert. No word yet on when work will begin and how long the construction will take.
Drawings, maps and plats for the project are available for public inspection at the GDOT office at 2594 Gillsville Highway.
