Two suspects have been arrested in connection to three recent thefts from the same South Hall business in which the pair reportedly shoplifted more than $2,200 worth of items.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“Tabitha Roshelle Luke, 33, and Zachary Dan Grissom, 32, both of Gainesville, have been charged with three counts of theft by taking.
The thefts occurred at Chemrite, Inc. on Belle Wood Court in Buford on Feb. 16, Feb. 23 and March 2. In each theft, the suspects removed large chemical containers from the business property. The investigation determined the suspects stole nine (9) containers worth a total value of $2,250.
The pair were arrested early Saturday afternoon…during a traffic stop on Old Cornelia Highway near Joe Chandler Road. Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies were on patrol in the area and observed an SUV with no license plate. The deputies stopped the vehicle and spoke with Ms. Luke, the driver, and Mr. Grissom, the passenger.
The deputies determined the pair were wanted for the Chemrite thefts and contacted the HCSO criminal investigator assigned to the case. In addition, Ms. Luke was charged with driving with a suspended tag, no proof of insurance and tire conditions.
Both suspects were released from the Hall County Jail on Sunday…; Ms. Luke posted a bond of $4,810 and Mr. Grissom posted a bond of $3,900.”
