Not long after things got back to normal on I-985, another grass and woods fire was reported in another part of the county.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office posted this “all clear” for the latter about 6:00:

Claude Parks Road is now clear.

“Be aware of possible traffic delays in the 6700 block of Claude Parks Road in Murrayville this afternoon. Fire officials from both Hall County Fire Rescue and Georgia Forestry are on scene working to contain a large fire on the property. The area is located north of George Barnes Road. The road is passable at this time, but be aware of smoke in the area.”
