HCC agenda: Fourth time the charm?, Natural gas facility plans; Repairs to govt ctr columns

Plans for a mixed-use development on Ridges Road are scheduled to be considered by the Hall County Commision (HCC) when it meets for a work session Monday. The issue has already been tabled by the commission at three previous meetings.

The 74-acre tract is located at the Friendship Road intersection. It was tabled January 9, 23, and February 13.

Also, on the agenda and under Planning & Zoning is a sidewalk standards variance request for a 22-lot single-family subdivision on Mount Vernon Road near Ben Parks Road; a rezoning request for 60 acres on Candler Road near Lee Land Road where an industrial park is planned; and one for 45 acres on Roy Parks Road near Candler Road, the site of a proposed natural gas facility.

The board is also scheduled to consider the award of a of $116,409 contract for repairs to the columns of the government center (pictured).

Monday is also when another in a series of public hearings on plans by the county to opt out of the state’s new tax reform law will be held.

The commission meets at the government center at 3:00.
