Mobile home fire leaves two people homeless

Two people lost what was to be their home to a fire Thursday afternoon.

“Two people were about to move in,” Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) spokeswoman Kimberlie Ledsinger said Tuesday night, adding, “American Red Cross was notified for them.”

Ledsinger said the call came in about 2:30 to the 3000 block of Joe Chandler Road.

“Crews arrived quickly and extinguished the fire, but unfortunately the flames were located under the house as well,” she added. “This forced personnel to continue water flow making the home a total loss.”

The cause is unknown and under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
