Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus dies

Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus died Tuesday in Atlanta at the age of 95. The company made the announcement but listed no cause of death.

Marcus and Arthur Blank opened the first Home Depot stores in Atlanta in 1979. From those first stores grew a business that created jobs worldwide — eventually employing more than 500,000 associates.
