S. Hall man, a registered sex offender, charged with tattooing minors

An Oakwood man, who is a registered sex offender, remains in the Hall County Jail following his arrest for tattooing three teenage girls under the age of 18, the legal age for getting a tattoo in Georgia

HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“The investigation into the actions of Christopher Avery Adams, 36, began on September 16…after the parent of one of the girls notified an investigator with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Sex Offender Registry Unit about a tattoo his daughter received without parental knowledge. Adams is a registered sex offender who was convicted in a statutory rape case out of Whitfield County in 2019.

The preliminary investigation determined on September 12 four teenage girls traveled to Adams’ residence on Hidden Valley Way in Oakwood for the purpose of getting tattoos. Investigators determined Adams operated his tattoo business out of his apartment. Two of the teens who received tattoos are 17 years of age, one is 16 and one is 19. In Georgia, the legal age for getting a tattoo is 18.

As a result of the investigation, Adams was arrested on September 24 and charged with three counts of tattooing a minor.”
