Hall County school officials say there will be no “school from home” Friday for county students. The decision was made after an update from the county Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
“District officials attended the 12:30 pm Emergency Management System Helene update and have made the decision that there will be no school from home on Friday,” school system spokesman Stan Lewis said. “The latest forecast indicates an even greater chance of widespread power outages (Friday).”
Lewis added that twelve-month employees for the district are not to report to work and should await further information from their immediate supervisors.
School officials had announced Wednesday that schools would be closed today and Friday.
