Vandals damaged the football field and other facilities at a Hall Country park overnight Tuesday, according to the Hall Country Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“On Wednesday morning…Hall County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a damage report at the North Hall Community Center on Nopone Road.
During the evening hours of Tuesday, Sept. 24, someone drove over a curb and onto the football field at the park, according to initial details. The driver then spun the vehicle around in tight circles several times (did doughnuts) on the field.
While the suspect(s) were damaging the turf, they also ran over a metal trash can that was mounted to the ground, causing damage to the can and the ground around it. The offender(s) also damaged the turf near the entrance/exit by driving over the curb instead of remaining on the driveway.
There are currently no suspect(s). The HCSO Investigation is continuing.”
