Apalachee: Students around Ga. calling for tougher gun laws

Some students in Georgia have been actively protesting for stricter gun laws recently – and one such protest is planned at Gainesville High today.

The protests following the mass shooting earlier this month at Apalachee High School that left four dead and nine wounded.

Some students gathered at the state Capitol recently to demand legislative action on gun violence and strengthening the state’s gun laws. The carried signs and attended a Senate committee meeting discussing safe gun storage laws.

High school students in Atlanta are also planning a walkout to push for stronger gun control laws.
