Hall County State Court Solicitor Stephanie Woodard has resigned. Woodard was indicted earlier this year on numerous charges of making false statements and theft by taking.
The announcement that she was stepping down was made Friday, the same day a three-person commission appointed by Gov. Kemp to investigate the allegations against her was to turn in a report to the governor.
Chief Assistant Solicitor General Stephanie Thompson will serve Solicitor General in the interim.
