With the first day of the new school year out of the way for most area schools with others expected to follow suit this week, colleges and universities in the area are busy with final preparations for the start of the Fall Semester.
Lanier Tech, for example, is just a week away from the first day of classes – Monday, Aug. 12.
University of North Georgia – Aug. 12
Brenau University – Aug. 19. The move-in day schedule for Brenau students is as follows:
*Aug. 14 & 15 – New students
*Aug. 17 – Returning students
On those three days you can expect increased foot and vehicular traffic around the campus.
University of North Georgia – Aug. 12
North Georgia Technical College – Aug. 14
Truett-McConnell University – Aug. 21
Piedmont University – Aug. 14
One note about secondary schools: the first day of class for students in the Gainesville City School System is Tuesday. Hall County students returned last Friday.
