Report: Braselton hospital among ‘most beautiful’ in country

Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton is number seven on Becker Hospital Review’s list of the Twenty Most Beautiful Hospitals in the country.

Another Georgia hospital, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, is first. In fact, there are four Georgia hospital in all on the list. The others are Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston and Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton.

The 12th annual list, published July 31, features the top hospitals recognized for their outer and inner beauty, such as top-notch staff or a holistic approach to well-being, according to Becker Hospital Review.

More than 1.4 million votes were received during the June 24-July 25 voting period. As the No. 1 “most beautiful hospital,” Phoebe Sumter Medical Center will receive a $5,000 donation.

The number of hospitals from Georgia on the list is the highest number yet for the state.
