Flowery Branch Police arrested two people Tuesday on shoplifting charges after they were called to The Home Depot on Spout Springs Road in reference to a theft in progress.
Assistant Chief Todd Templeton said Wednesday even though the pair fled the store before they arrived when confronted by store employees, officers were able to locate the pair after getting descriptions of both and reviewing surveillance video.
FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“Officers then located Ms. Alexandra Apuela-Gonzalez outside of a neighboring store and detained her. Upon being detained, Ms. Apuela-Gonzalez provided false information to the officers.
A short while later, Officers located and detained Martin Apuela-Gonzalez. Ms. Alexandra Apuela- Gonzalez, 26, of Buford Georgia, was charged with felony theft by shoplifting and obstruction of law enforcement.
Mr. Martin Apuela-Gonzalez,29, of Burford Georgia, was charged with felony theft by shoplifting.”
