Ga. jobless rate up slightly

Georgia’s May unemployment rate was 3.2 percent, up one-tenth from a revised 3.1 percent in April. The unemployment rate was eight-tenths lower than the national rate.

Meanwhile, the number of jobs were up by 9,200 (0.2%) over the month and up by 73,900 (1.5%) compared to a year and the number of unemployed was up by 4,457 to 169,976 and was up by 1,285 over the past 12 months.
