A ceremony was held in Jefferson Tuesday dedicating the latest addition to the state’s Georgia Grown Trails – and it is the first in this part of the state.
Called “Homer to Comer,” the trail follows Georgia Highway 98 from Homer in Jackson County to Comer in Madison County and becomes the eighth Georgia Grown Trail in the state.
Georgia Grown Trails are designed to highlight agriculture-related tourism “hot spots.” U-pick farms, dairies, vineyards & wineries, farm tours, B&Bs, restaurants using local and regional products, and specialty food stores are all included, according to the Georgia Grown Trails website.
