Chase ends with one arrest on 8 charges

A 21-year-old man was still in jail Thursday morning after being arrested following a chase with a Gainesville police officer.

Noe Demetrio was jailed about 7:15 Wednesday morning, according to Hall County Jail records.

Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email “Officer attempted a traffic stop, subject fled, officer was able track the subject down at his residence. Subject threw 1.6 grams of alleged THC wax from the vehicle.”

Demetrio is charged with:

*FLEEING/ATTEMPT TO ELUDE A POLICE OFFICER FOR FELONY OFFENSE

*RECKLESS DRIVING 1ST OFFENSE

*BASIC RULES – TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS

*NO PASSING ZONE

*LITTERING PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY

*OBEDIENCE TO REQUIRED TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICES

*HEADLIGHTS AND OTHER LIGHTS REQUIRED

*POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Bond has been set at $7,650.
