HCSO NARRATIVE:
“A man was killed Wednesday afternoon…as he was removing a limb from the top of a tree in northern Hall County.
Just before 2:45 p.m., Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to the scene in the 4300 block Mount Vernon Road to assist emergency medical personnel with the incident. Deputies observed a man, later identified as Antonio Denova, 28, of Gainesville, pinned between two trees approximately 25-30 feet above the ground. Mr. Denova was wearing climbing gear and had tree-trimming equipment with him.
The initial investigation determined Mr. Denova was trimming a large limb when the limb broke free and trapped him against other trees in the work area. As a result, Mr. Denova suffered traumatic injuries to his head and body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
