A former employee of Soulshine Farms in Gainesville was arrested last week and charged with stealing money from current employees of the business, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Tuesday.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“(On Friday) deputies responded to the business on Centennial Drive at the request of the production manager. The manager had the suspect, identified as Aurora Regalado-Aguilar, 50, of Gainesville, in an office.
The manager showed the deputies company surveillance footage from earlier in the week of the suspect rifling through backpacks in an employee break area and removing items (which turned out to be cash) from the backpacks. The suspect in the video footage was dressed in the same clothing Ms. Regalado-Aguilar was wearing on Friday.
Deputies spoke with two victims at the business; both wanted to press charges against the suspect. One victim reported a loss of $250 and the other reported a loss of $50.
Ms. Regalado-Aguilar was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of theft by taking. She remains in the Hall County Jail.”
