City of Winder announcement:
“Please be aware of two road closures scheduled next week:
- Hwy 81 (between Lee St. and May St.) will be closed for 48 hours, from 5 a.m. on July 23 through 5 a.m. on July 25, for stormwater system upgrades. Local businesses will remain accessible, but a portion of Hwy 81 will be fully closed to through traffic.Please plan an alternate route or allow extra travel time during this 48-hour closure.
- Georgia Ave. at E. Midland Ave. will be closed July 22–25 for sewer and stormwater infrastructure work. A detour route will be clearly marked”
