Winder Police have arrested and charged Daniel Barrios Catalan, 46, of Winder with the kidnap-rape of a teenage employee.
WINDER POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“Barrios Catalan, manager and co-owner of the Latin Flavors restaurant in Winder, is accused of kidnapping and raping his 18-year-old employee after she was provided with alcohol following her shift at the restaurant.
A mandated reporter at a local hospital reported the allegation to the Winder Police Department when the victim came in for treatment following the incident.
The investigation revealed that Barrios Catalan provided the victim with alcohol at the restaurant on the night of March 1st, 2025, and then escorted the victim to a private area of the restaurant and later drove the victim to his home from the restaurant early the following morning.
At one point, the victim became heavily impaired to the point of losing consciousness.”
