Wife of alleged car thief arrested in connection with same case

A Suwanee woman is being held in the Hall County Jail charged with assisting her husband in the theft of three vehicles from used auto dealerships in the county earlier this year.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:

“(Sheriff’s deputies) took custody of Amber Leigh Vance, 31, on Thursday morning…at the Gwinnett County Jail. Investigators charged her with three counts of party to a crime of theft by taking and one count of party to a crime of second-degree burglary…

During the crimes in January and February, Vance dropped her husband off at the car lots, stayed in the area and followed him as he drove away in each stolen vehicle. Her spouse, Ethan Brock Vance, 31, has been in the Hall County Jail since his Feb. 10 arrest by Gwinnett County Police. 

Since his arrest for stealing two vehicles, investigators charged Ethan Vance with the theft of a third. On Feb. 2, between 2 and 2:30 a.m., he stole a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado from Salinger Auto in the 3000 block of…Browns Bridge Road. He damaged a gate and fence at the business by driving through it. The additional charges are theft by taking…and criminal trespass…

All three stolen vehicles have been recovered. Mr. Vance also remains…in the Hall County Jail.”
