‘Welcome back, Mr. President’

Donald Trump’s inauguration as the country’s 47th president prompted this reaction from Congressman Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County): “Welcome back, Mr. President.” Clyde, whose district includes part of Hall County, also declared, in a posting on X: “Today we Make America Great Again.”

And he got in another verbal shot at former President Biden who, just before leaving office, issued a “full and unconditional pardon” of five members of his family, saying he wanted to prevent them from being targeted by “baseless and politically motivated investigations.”

Clyde declaring: “The most corrupt final action to protect his corrupt family. We will not rest until we have justice.”

And from Rich McCormick (R-Suwannee), whose district also covers part of Hall County: “Excited to get to work with the 47th President of the United States of America, @realDonaldTrump! Let’s do this!”
