With many trees already bare and ready for winter, time is running out for leaf-looking in the higher elevations (3,000 feet-plus) of northeast Georgia, according to the Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC).
“Views are still great but not so much from colorful leaves,” this week’s report says.
Below 3000 feet: This region is on the tail end of peak and will last about one more week. Recommended viewing: On back roads and around our many lakes and reservoirs.
