A weekend manhunt in a residential area on Browns Bridge Road ended in the arrest of a man who fled on foot when deputies tried to arrest him, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Spokeswoman B.J. Williams said Monday it happened Saturday night.
“(Flavio Eduardo Duarte) was wanted on a probation warrant,” Williams said. “Deputies went to pick him up at the family residence on Trudy Drive and he ran from them. He was arrested on Browns Bridge Road at Sherri Drive after a K9 track in the area.”
A number of people who live in that area had posted on Facebook about seeing patrol cars riding up and down their streets, shining their spotlights.
Records show the 23-year-old Duarte was booked into the Hall County Jail about 10:30 Saturday night.
