Plans for a 223,440-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility is on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Oakwood City Council.
The would-be developer, Wesley Reed, is asking that the property at 4180 McBrayer Road be annexed and rezoned from AR-III to Light Industrial. The complex would consist of two buildings, according to the application.
Currently there is a single-family home and a number of agricultural out buildings on the site.
An increase in traffic on McBrayer is expected when the facilities are up and running, but the development will have no impact on schools, parks or other public facilities, according to the application, and the property is currently shown as “a potential annexation for mixed use in the 2022 comprehensive plan.”
