Vulcan Materials Company recently designated $250,000 in support of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Lumpkin through the Rural Hospital Tax Credit program.
The program allows individuals and business to designate their state income tax to support qualifying rural and critical access hospitals.
“It is through the generosity of companies like Vulcan that we have been able to expand outpatient and emergency services in our current facility while looking to the future with our new NGMC Lumpkin campus, opening in April 2024,” said Kevin Matson, Vice President of Regional Hospitals.
Along with NGMC Lumpkin, NGMC Habersham was also identified as one of Georgia’s hospitals with the highest financial need by the Department of Community Health.
