Vandals cause $3K in damages at Hall Co. park

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:

“A Hall County deputy was called to Laurel Park on Monday morning by the park manager who had discovered damage to a couple of public restrooms at the park.

In the men’s restroom, the manager found the toilet paper and paper towel dispensers had been pulled from the walls and bathroom stalls and smashed. The urinal divider had also been torn from the wall. There were also burned paper towels in the restroom. In the women’s restroom, there were some burned paper towels as well, but no other damages. The manager estimated the damage at around $3,000.

The manager had last visited the park on Saturday, October 7, and there was no damage at that time.

At this time, there are no suspects in the case.”
