Late Thursday, a High Wind Warning was issued for several north Georgia counties including Union (Blairsville), Gilmer (Ellijay) and Whitfield (Dalton) and surrounding areas. Earlier in the day, a High Wind Advisory was posted for most of north and central Georgia, including Hall and surrounding counties.
The strong winds will be accompanied another round of heavy rain similar to what we experienced earlier in the week but with a stronger likelihood that there may be some tornadic activity. And all of this will be followed by a big drop in temperatures.
