UPDATE: MISSING MAN RETURNS HOME, CAR INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT HOURS AFTER HE VANISHED

HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:

“Just before 12:45 a.m. Sunday, July 23, Hall County deputies responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Tanners Mill Road near Winder Highway. They discovered a Ford F250 Super Duty truck had struck a guy wire and snapped a power pole in the process. The vehicle was located down an embankment in a wooded area. The truck was unoccupied and locked.

Deputies were able to determine the truck belonged to Mauricio Landeros-Troncoso, 38, of Braselton. Deputies went to Mr. Landeros-Troncoso’s home, but he was not there and his family had not seen him since around 6:30 Saturday evening. Deputies then checked the area around the scene of the collision by foot, with a K9 team and with a drone with no success. They made the decision to enter Mr. Landeros-Tronccoso into our system as missing.

On Sunday afternoon, just after 5:30 p.m., HCSO was notified that Mr. Landeros-Troncoso had returned home. The investigation into the vehicle accident continues.”
