UPDATE: Level 2 risk of stormy weather

Hall and surrounding counties are now at Level 2 on the risk factor chart for stormy weather starting this afternoon. And a Flood Watch is in effect.

“Widespread thunderstorms are expected from Wednesday afternoon and persisting overnight into Thursday morning,” the National Weather Service (NWS) said early Wednesday. “These storms will bring the risk for damaging wind gusts as well as a few tornadoes. A strong tornado cannot be ruled out.”

In addition, a Flood Watch is in effect. “Flash flooding is possible, in low-lying, poor drainage, and urban areas,” the advisory says.
