Severe weather risk: Wed. night into Thur. morning

Stormy weather is a possibility across parts of north Georgia beginning Wednesday night and continuing into Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says a few storms may become strong to severe. “The main hazard will be damaging winds” and “(trailing) thunderstorms may lead to locally excessive rainfall and dry soils may produce quick run-offs and an increased flash flood risk.”
